Analysis of the latest Labor Department jobs data by the tech trade group CompTIA finds that the unemployment rate for IT occupations in the U.S. dropped to 1.3% in May, a 20-year low, reports the Wall Street Journal’s CIO Journal. In the article, IT Unemployment Rate Estimated at 20-Year Low, Lippman also spoke to underlying reasons for employers’ current hiring challenges and suggested possible solutions.
