Harley Lippman relates the seeds of his success to a piece of advice he received from his father, who said, "either grow it, dig it, or build it." Lippman has created a career doing all three – with his business and technology firm, Genesis10, he has dug in to build a company with revenues of over $120 million in 2009, having grown organically from just $6.9 million in 1999.

When Harley Lippman founded Genesis10, he invited 12 key employees from his previous company to work for him, at pay cuts of 40 to 80 percent. At the time, he took no salary for himself and had just a few clients. Still, ten of those employees accepted his offer, and became the "10" of Genesis10. Lippman describes this as a moment of truth. ”Even if I had paid them more money, if there had been no trust, no one would have come on board,” he said.

Today, Lippman’s technology consulting/staffing company has more than 2000 employees and consultants nationwide, delivering innovative consulting and workforce solutions to some of the biggest corporations in the world. Genesis10 is consistently ranked among the highest performing vendor partners by clients across the United States.  And in 2007, Genesis10 was profiled in the technology consulting/staffing space as best in the country by Fortune Small Business in an article entitled "Know Your Client’s Culture."

But the work hasn’t just paid financial dividends. A great deal of what Harley Lippman gains from business fuels the same spirit that propelled Genesis10 - building upon the values of trust, integrity and the need to build and grow in order to give back. Year after year since he began his career, Harley fosters a culture of giving back by supporting organizations as diverse as Feed the Children, Engine Company 22 Family Fund, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Fragile X Research Foundation and the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Harley has become increasingly involved with organizations that support U.S. military veterans with the services, training and tools necessary for both personal and professional success. Harley leads by example encouraging his colleague’s and employee’s efforts to volunteer their time and energy to worthy charitable organizations.
