"Genesis10 provided us remarkable expertise in design of our Power BI solution..."

-Wayne Richards, CFO Vertek Corporation

"Vertek Corporation needed consulting support to accelerate the use of PowerBI. The solution would create business critical reports and dashboards to support their internal client needs, project delivery requirements, as well as gain additional business insights on their services and operations. In the midst of a pandemic with no clear understanding of what the new norm would be or when, Vertek turned to Genesis10 to Make It Happen. We knew we needed to get creative and use video conferencing among other collaboration tools to bridge the social distancing gap to deliver."

Making it Happen During a Pandemic

Making it Happen During a Pandemic

A leading facilities services and management company was at risk of losing a major contract with a global Fortune 50 online retailer because they could not scale their workforce to maintain the buildings and the equipment integral to the Retailer’s Operations. Then, COVID-19 hit.

BUSINESS CHALLENGE:

The Facilities Management partner needed to hire 1,000 Maintenance Technicians to support the online retailer’s growth plans. The offshore firm used to vet the Technicians was in a lockdown, highlighting a process breakdown and dependency.

HOW WE HELPED:

Genesis10 mobilized a team and outlined a structured, repeatable approach to proctor exams to fully vet each candidate while adhering to social distancing guidelines. We standardized the vetting process to maintain candidate consistency, given that we needed to hire 1,000 Maintenance Technicians.

OUTCOMES:

Genesis10 sourced and vetted 3x the number of qualified candidates for the Facilities Management Company, moving our client from RED status to Green in the eyes of the Online Retailer.

Managing Online App Fraud

Managing Online App Fraud

A global Fortune 25 online professional networking service was experiencing a spike in fraudulent activity during the height of the pandemic. To combat the spike in fraud, our client scaled their Fraud Investigators to increase the overall due diligence and content monitoring of the site.

BUSINESS CHALLENGE:

With the rise of online job boards, the gig economy, and professional networking sites, it has become easier to conduct job searches online as well as to promote content. Unfortunately with the ease of online networking comes perils of fraud – many different types of fraud.

HOW WE HELPED:

Acting with a sense of urgency given the business challenge, Genesis10’s dedicated account team worked in collaboration with the client to gain business insight to identify the requisite competencies needed to be an effective Fraud Investigator, going well beyond a position description.

OUTCOMES:

In 14 days, Genesis10 sourced and vetted 60 qualified investigators to elevate due diligence, monitoring, and ensuring the legitimacy of content and professionals represented on the site.

Doing our part to stop the spread

In March 2020, Genesis10 swiftly transitioned to work-from-home without skipping a beat. Harley and I are proud of our team - from our consultants to our shared services and management team - who ensure that our clients and our day to day operations were not impacted. Like most companies, we had to make adjustments, but thankfully our operations were already supported by cloud-based systems so we could shift our attention to our PEOPLE. We have increased our consulting care and client touchpoints as well as mobilized a team of our Dev10 Associates who are junior developers in training to develop a contact tracing app to support our operations.

Our top priority continues to be focused on creating a sense of stability in uncertain times, starting with managing the well-being of our clients, consultants, and our employees. When we return to the office, we will do so following CDC and State guidelines. I do believe that we all have to continue to do our part to slow the spread of the coronavirus to create a safer world.
