Program Managers

Program Managers strategically align themselves with an organizations
business objectives and IT methodologies, then deliver sound,
technologically advanced solutions for business transformation
efforts.
Program Managers differ from Project Managers in that they
are responsible for maintaining a high-level view of multiple
initiatives. They also act as liaisons between the Business
Owners and Project Managers.
A Program Manager may also:
- Coordinate the delivery of multiple projects
- Conduct cost/benefit analyses for the program
- Communicate with an executive committee
- Create and report program status using a dashboard
- Allocate resources across multiple projects
- Define project policies
- And manage the projects budget.
Project Managers
Genesis10 Project Managers are well versed in the art and
science of project management. They are comfortable working
out resource constraints and communication bottlenecks, and
prioritization requirements.
Equipped with this skill set, Project Managers implement
business plans across company cultures and departments. In
short, theyre the ones who ensure that critical projects
get doneon time and within budget.
A Project Managers duties may include:
- Developing detailed project plans
- Estimating the time it will take to complete specific
tasks
- Staffing and managing project team members
- Identifying and mitigating risks associated with the project
- Keeping management apprised of project status
- Identifying and resolving issues
- And controlling the projects scope and budget.
